Fellowship Programs

The ACGME-accredited Colorectal Surgery Fellowship program is designed to develop skills in all aspects of colon and rectal surgery. The fellow will gain experience in the management of both common and complex problems faced by colon and rectal surgeons.

The UCI-John Wayne Foundation Complex General Surgical Oncology Fellowship program is a two-year ACGME-accredited program that provides comprehensive, multidisciplinary training in complex open and minimally invasive oncologic resections.

UCI School of Medicine affords an excellent opportunity for advanced minimally invasive/bariatric surgical training, with exposure to diverse pathologies and educators of the highest academic caliber.

The two-year, ACGME-accredited UCI/CHOC Pediatric General and Thoracic Surgery Fellowship program aims to prepare well-rounded pediatric surgeons who are academically, clinically and professionally able to meet the demands of an ever-changing landscape in medicine.

UCI’s Department of Surgery has three positions for a one-year, ACGME-accredited Surgical Critical Care Fellowship program. The fellowship provides comprehensive training in trauma, burn, acute care surgery, surgical critical care and general surgery.

The two-year UCI Vascular and Endovascular Surgery Fellowship is a comprehensive, integrated program with excellent training opportunities in the full spectrum of vascular disease management, including aortic, peripheral, renal, visceral and cerebrovascular disorders.
