Minimally invasive and endoscopic experience during the fellowship is extensive, including a variety of advanced laparoscopic procedures and therapeutic gastrointestinal endoscopy.

Each fellow will spend 12 months on the minimally invasive gastrointestinal and bariatric surgery service. The service has three operative days per week. Emergencies constitute less than 1% of patient care. Four faculty members and one additional volunteer faculty staff this service.

Incoming candidates will have completed an approved general surgery residency and be board-eligible or board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. Applicants will apply through The Fellowship Council. Applications for the interview season will be reviewed in January with invitations sent in February for interview dates held in March.
