Cameron S. Carter, MD, distinguished professor and chair of the UC Irvine School of Medicine's Department of Psychiatry & Human Behavior, has been elected into the National Academy of Medicine (NAM). One of the nation's highest honors in the fields of health and medicine, the NAM chose Carter for his pioneering work in cognitive neuroscience and psychiatry.
