Our department takes pride in being ranked among the top microbiology departments in the country. We work together as scientists, educators and students to identify and address the most relevant problems in microbial pathogenesis, host cell biology and immune defense, and the host-pathogen interface.

In Memoriam: Professor Gina Lee

We mourn the untimely death of our dear colleague and friend, Gina Lee, PhD, who passed away on June 23, 2024. Professor Lee's dedication, kindness and professionalism inspired us all, and her presence made the world a better place. We will miss her more than words can express.
