The Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics currently has more than 10 postdoctoral trainees conducting research. Our postdoctoral scholars play a vital role in supporting UCI School of Medicine's mission of Discover, Teach, Heal.

Our department provides multiple opportunities for postdocs to further their academic, professional and career growth, including securing research awards through grant writing, conducting both original and faculty-led research, and mentoring and training undergraduate and graduate researchers.

Postdoctoral scholar positions in the Department of Microbiology & Molecular Genetics are occasionally available throughout the year. These positions are under the sponsorship of the faculty member(s) in the Microbiology & Molecular Genetics Department.
