Our PhD and MS programs train students in biomedical research and critical inquiry with the goal of a career in research, biomedical technology or academic education. Home Education Graduate Studies: Home Excellence in Training UCI is elevating excellence in training. Mentoring begins on day one with the student’s PI supervising laboratory skills alongside colleagues in small cohorts. Students work directly with faculty on their research grants and projects. Students are able to engage in research in biomedical and clinical settings that can lead to research projects and publications of their own. Graduate Studies Programs PhD Programs The UCI School of Medicine offers graduate study leading to a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences. Five participating basic science departments train students in biomedical research and critical inquiry with the goal of a research-based career in academia, biomedical technology and related fields. PhD & MD/PhD Programs Master's Programs The UCI School of Medicine currently offers three competitive Master of Science (MS) degree programs in the following disciplines: Biomedical & Translational Science, Genetic Counseling, Biomedical Sciences. Master's Programs Postdoctoral Scholars The UCI School of Medicine has comprehensive programs for postdoctoral training. Our postdocs receive intensive training under the guidance of outstanding faculty mentors and have access to a strong network of support services.
