Neuropolitics Lecture Series - The Hostility Habit: How Partisan Expectations Shape Political Conflict
Why do some partisans express hostility toward political opponents while others engage respectfully across party lines? This talk argues that the answer lies not in the strength of political preferences or specific partisan identity, but rather what people believe their fellow partisans expect of them. These findings illuminate how partisan hostility is sustained and how it might be reduced.
