This includes directing researchers to appropriate funding opportunities and support throughout the entire proposal development process. The RDU is an entity within the UC Irvine School of Medicine Office of Research. Contact Us Our Services We offer two key areas of support to help researchers succeed in securing funding: Funding Opportunity and Grant Proposal support. Funding Opportunity Support helps investigators understand current funding priorities and trends and provides personalized guidance to identify the most relevant opportunities. Grant Proposal Support includes a range of services to strengthen proposals such as technical editing, biosketch reviews and access to templates and boilerplate content. We also assist with letters of institutional support, connect researchers with potential collaborators and coordinate expert reviews. For large complex proposals, we offer project management support and help prepare NIH training grant data tables. Our goal is to streamline the grant process and connect investigators with the resources they need. In addition, we offer a variety of resources to support researchers across different roles and needs.
