The UCI Rehab Academic and Mentorship Program (RAMP) is a two-week intensive program for undergraduate students interested in rehabilitation services as a career, including physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech therapy.

This program aims to provide students with an enriching experience that includes shadowing therapists in various settings, participating in lectures on essential rehabilitation topics and preparing for graduate school application with guided mentorship. The program allows students to develop a stronger understanding of therapy and its role in the healthcare system while building connections at a world-class teaching hospital.

Eligibility


The ideal candidate for this program will meet the following criteria:

  • Currently enrolled in a four-year university (sophomores and juniors preferred).
  • Minimum 3.3 GPA.
  • Motivated and eager to learn about rehabilitation disciplines.
  • Volunteer experience in a hospital setting is a plus, but not required.
  • Commit to training Monday through Friday for two weeks, eight hours a day.
