The medical microbiology course curriculum supports training in microbiology and infectious diseases as they relate to the practice of medicine. One of the major objectives of the course is to provide second-year medical students with a solid foundation in microbiology that will serve them as they progress through their medical training and subsequently as practicing physicians.
