The following is required as part of your application: MSPE or dean’s letter. Chair’s letter (from the chair of medicine or designee). A minimum of two additional letters of recommendation (up to the maximum allowed by ERAS). USMLE Step 1 or COMLEX 1 with first-time passage. USMLE Step 2 CK or COMLEX 2 are not required for initial application but are required to begin the residency program. Osteopathic students are not required to take the USMLE examinations. Requirements for California state licensure must be met, including proof of at least four weeks of family medicine training during medical school, either as part of a formal clerkship or as an ongoing longitudinal rotation. Only applications submitted through ERAS will be considered. Our program is also enrolled to participate in the new supplemental application process. Applications submitted after November 1 will not be considered. All positions are filled through the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP), which takes place each year in March. Categorical applicant interviews are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from the end of October through the first week of January (except holidays). All interviews will be virtual.
