Advanced Training in Pediatrics
The Department of Pediatrics offers eight highly competitive fellowship training programs. Each program is ACGME-accredited and offered either solely by the UCI School of Medicine or in partnership with Children's Hospital of Orange County or Miller Children's & Women's Hospital Long Beach.

Prepares physicians for careers as leaders in clinical and academic pediatric critical care medicine.
Pediatric Critical Care FellowshipDesigned to provide in-depth training for board-eligible or board-certified pediatricians who desire an independent career in academic and clinical pediatric endocrinology and diabetes.
Pediatric Endocrinology FellowshipProvides trainees exposure to the clinical practice of pediatric emergency medicine while strongly supporting scholarly work in the field.
Pediatric Emergency Medicine FellowshipAims to develop outstanding pediatric hematologists and oncologists who will also serve as the next generation of innovators and leaders in the field.
Pediatric Hematology/Oncology FellowshipTrains fellows to become clinical experts in the care of hospitalized children, as well as academic leaders in the fields of quality improvement, research, advocacy and medical education.
Pediatric Hospital Medicine FellowshipProvides diverse clinical and educational experiences in pediatric infectious diseases, including fundamental laboratory, infection prevention and antimicrobial stewardship skills.
Pediatric Infectious Diseases FellowshipPrepares physicians for careers in neonatology. The program includes a comprehensive educational curriculum, a thorough clinical training and outstanding research experience individually tailored to each trainee’s area of interest.
Neonatal/Perinatal Medicine FellowshipProvides physicians advanced clinical and research training in pediatric pulmonology.
