TrueBeam Delivers Powerful, Precise Radiation Therapy to Heal Brain Tumor Patient UCI Health neurosurgeons successfully removed William Norris' brain tumor. But the track-and-field coach still needed radiation therapy to ensure that no tumor cells remained. With the image-guided TrueBeam™ STx linear accelerator, Norris had just one 10-minute radiation treatment, instead of the traditional 10 or 15 sessions over two to three weeks. The TrueBeam system allows radiation oncology specialists at UCI Health Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center to precisely target the smallest, most hidden cancers with a power dose — all while protecting healthy tissue.
