Child neurology residents receive clinical training at three main sites: UCI Medical Center, VA Long Beach Medical Center and Children's Health of Orange County.

Residents do their inpatient adult neurology training at UCI Medical Center, as well as some of their electives.

VA Long Beach (VALB) Medical Center

Residents rotate at the VALB for their outpatient adult neurology clinics during their second and third years. During their time at the VALB, they rotate through several subspecialty clinics, including epilepsy, stroke, movement disorders, headache, neuromuscular/ALS, neuroimmunology and traumatic brain injury.

Children’s Health of Orange County (CHOC)

CHOC is the only children’s hospital in Orange County. In addition to serving Orange County patients, it serves the surrounding regions with a large catchment area of more than 5 million people, providing a rich learning environment with a diverse patient population.
