Faculty in UCI School of Medicine's Division of Infectious Diseases work at the forefront of infectious disease medicine, providing exceptional clinical care to patients in Orange County and beyond.

The division’s faculty members, including a growing group of transplant infectious disease specialists, combine experienced and newer clinicians. The team holds particular expertise in the care of patients with HIV, hepatitis C, Lyme disease and other vector-borne conditions, sexually transmitted infections and other infectious conditions. The faculty has an interest in hospital-acquired and healthcare-associated infections, multidrug resistant organisms, epidemiology and infection prevention. They are also experts in infections occurring in travelers and immigrants and the comprehensive treatment of these conditions.
