Addressing this concern, the UCI School of Medicine created the Master of Science in Biomedical and Translational Science (MS-BATS) in 2012. The MS-BATS program is designed to meet the need for trained researchers in the increasingly sophisticated field of clinical research. It offers advanced training in experimental study, bridging the gap between clinical medicine and basic sciences. This connection facilitates the translation of scientific discoveries into practical applications, ultimately contributing to societal well-being through enhanced patient care.
