Leadership Education to Advance Diversity–African, Black and Caribbean (PRIME LEAD-ABC) is a UCI School of Medicine mission-based program aimed at producing future physicians who are committed to addressing the health needs of African, Black and Caribbean communities in California, the United States, and beyond.
PRIME LEAD-ABC Program
The Program in Medical Education for the Latino Community (PRIME-LC) is a five-year MD/Master’s program that is committed to training physicians to meet the needs of under-resourced Latino communities.
PRIME-LC Program
Program for training medical students in foundations of integrative medicine, both for their own wellbeing and for guiding future patients to make evidence-based decisions related to incorporating complementary and alternative modalities into their care.
HEAL-IM ProgramExcellence in Diversity
For the third time since 2019, UCI School of Medicine received the Health Professions Higher Education Excellence in Diversity (HEED) Award from INSIGHT Into Diversity magazine, the oldest and largest diversity publication in higher education. This award recognizes the impact of our mission-based programs (PRIME-LC, PRIME LEAD-ABC, HEAL-IM) in contributing to greater diversity in the healthcare workforce and improved health equity.
