Faculty members of the Division of Basic and Clinical Immunology treat adult and pediatric patients in clinical settings that are fully equipped to evaluate, diagnose and treat:
- Allergic disorders including asthma, rhinitis, allergic skin conditions, and food and drug allergies
- Primary immunodeficiencies, secondary immunodeficiency disorders, autoimmune diseases and HIV/AIDS

Jeffrey Modell Center at UCI
The Division of Basic and Clinical Immunology houses one of only 50 Jeffrey Modell Centers for Primary Immunodeficiency Diseases worldwide. These centers are dedicated to providing state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic care to children and adults with primary immunodeficiencies. Patients with primary immunodeficiency diseases are central to the study of the immune system and diseases associated with it. The center follows approximately 250 children and adults with primary immunodeficiencies in its physician offices.
