About the Division

The Division of Basic and Clinical Immunology is dedicated to providing compassionate, state-of-the-art diagnostic and therapeutic care to children and adults with immunological and allergic diseases. Our faculty members are nationally and internationally recognized for fostering basic, clinical and translational research, and they are committed to training physicians and scientists for academic careers in immunology and allergy.

The division features extensive research programs that provide medical students and residents in pediatrics and general internal medicine with the unique opportunity to address important clinical and basic science research questions.

Fellowship

Our competitive ACGME-accredited Allergy and Immunology Fellowship program provides outstanding training in primary immunodeficiency diseases, HIV/AIDS, autoimmune diseases and allergic diseases.

Grand Rounds & Conferences

The Division of Basic and Clinical Immunology holds the following weekly lectures and conferences:

  • Basic Immunology, Mondays at 1 p.m., UCI Campus, Medical Sciences C Building, Rm C240 Conference Room
     
  • Adult and Pediatric Allergy, Wednesdays at noon, second-floor conference room, Pavilion I, UCI Medical Center
     
  • Clinical Immunology, Fridays at 7:30 a.m. in the second-floor conference room, Pavilion I, UCI Medical Center

The Department of Medicine holds weekly Grand Rounds on Tuesdays from noon to 1 p.m. in the library auditorium at UCI Medical Center.
