Ninh Nguyen, MD

Ninh Nguyen, MD, leads the Division of Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery. He is the past president of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery and the John E. Connolly, MD, professor and chair of the Department of Surgery. Nguyen is also the co-director for the Minimally Invasive Fellowship program and chief of surgery for the Division of Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery at UCI Medical Center.

Shaun C. Daly, MD

Shaun C. Daly, MD, is an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery, regional director, High Desert, for the Comprehensive Digestive Disease Center and medical director of clinical documentation integrity. Daly is the medical director of the Digestive Disease and Bariatric Program at Riverside Community Hospital. 

Kishore M. Gadde, MD

Kishore M. Gadde, MD, is a professor in residence of surgery in the Division of Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery. He directs the Medical Weight Management program in the Comprehensive Digestive Disease Center.

Marcelo W. Hinojosa, MD

Marcelo W. Hinojosa, MD, is an associate professor of surgery in the Division of Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery and the chief of general and bariatric surgery for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System.

Brian R. Smith, MD

Brian R. Smith, MD, is a professor of surgery in the Division of Gastrointestinal and Bariatric Surgery, residency program director for general surgery, co-director for the Minimally Invasive Fellowship program, chief of surgery for the VA Long Beach Healthcare System, and chief surgical consultant and acting chief medical officer for the VA Desert Pacific Healthcare Network.
