Transplantation Program Leadership:

UCI Comprehensive Hypertension Center
Led by Division of Nephrology & Hypertension faculty member Dr. Ekamol Tantisattamo, the Comprehensive Hypertension Center earned this designation from the American Heart Association in 2021. The multidisciplinary team includes a physician, a pharmacist and a dietitian, and manages people with complex or difficult-to-treat hypertension following the latest evidence-based treatment guidelines. UCI is one of only three healthcare facilities in California that has a comprehensive hypertension center. The center was highlighted at the National Kidney Foundation annual meeting in May 2024.
