Point-of-Care Ultrasound Fellowship (EUFAC-Accredited)

Since its inception in 2001, the UCI Point-of-Care Ultrasound Fellowship has graduated more than 40 emergency ultrasound fellows. These fellows have gone on to become leaders in point-of-care ultrasound throughout the United States. Our department currently has ten ultrasound machines that produce 250 scans per week. We also have four ultrasound-fellowship-trained faculty on staff. Ultrasounds are interpreted at the bedside and become part of the patient’s medical record. All images are uploaded to wireless servers for weekly review in educational quality assurance meetings.
