The Infectious Disease Fellowship at UCI School of Medicine is a two-year clinical program that provides a robust education in the treatment of a range of conditions, including HIV, hospital-acquired infections, tuberculosis, hepatitis, transplant infectious diseases and more.

Our Culture

The Infectious Disease Fellowship program prides itself on providing a rigorous education in a nurturing, encouraging environment with careful attention to trainee quality of life and work-life balance. Our faculty and trainees are well-respected within the medical school and medical center community. The collaborative spirit we foster within and outside of our program is a point of great pride for us.

Training Facilities

The fellowship program is based at UCI Medical Center, the only academic medical center in Orange County. The center boasts Level 1 adult and Level 2 pediatric trauma centers, a burn unit, and a strong and growing transplant service. We launched a bone marrow transplant program in 2020 and have run an LVAD program since 2019. Our program is also affiliated with the VA Long Beach Healthcare System.
