UCI School of Medicine Recognizes Asian American, Native Hawaiian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month: Dr. Irene Tsai Posted: 2023-05-09 Source: UCI School of Medicine News Type: Features & Briefs share Irene Tsai, MD Irene Tsai, MD, assistant clinical professor in the Department of Radiological Sciences, has readily answered the call to address health disparities amongst the Orange County AANHPI community. She is currently planning an Asian American Women’s Health Symposium, to take place on Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023 at the UCI University Club. Hosted by the Department of Radiological Sciences and the Fong Tsai Endowment, this event will provide informational and educational lectures to the Orange County AANHPI community about various topics in women’s health. Numerous Asian American female physicians from across UCI Health will participate, as they aspire to provide culturally competent care and encourage preventative screenings and long-term access to medical care. Dr. Tsai hopes that this is only the beginning, stating, “The immense strength, beauty and resilience of our culture is a true inspiration.
