Trainees will encounter teenagers or young adults who referring healthcare providers feel would benefit from the expert care and support the Adolescent Medicine Specialty Clinic offers. Focused on Compassionate, Holistic Expertise Division of Adolescent Medicine faculty members understand the complexity of patient autonomy, confidentiality and family support needed to provide optimal care for the adolescent patient. Our experts consult on diagnostic dilemma cases. Although we manage a broad range of clinical conditions, special areas of focus include eating disorders, gender-affirming care, sexual and reproductive health, and supporting transition from adolescent to adult health care through the A2B (Adolescent to Adult Bridge) Program. Includes registered dietitians, psychologists and psychiatrists, social workers, care managers and adolescent providers. OUTPATIENT Eating Disorder TREATMENT Inpatient Eating Disorder Program Provides inpatient care for children and adolescents with eating disorders such as anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa and avoidant restrictive food intake disorder. INPATIENT Eating Disorder TREATMENT Gender, Puberty, Sexual Development (GPS) Clinic Offers comprehensive medical, psychological and support services to youths born with certain medical conditions, including genetic variations in the X and Y chromosomes and differences in genital development, and/or with nonconforming gender expressions. Includes endocrinologists, psychologists, social workers and care managers. GPS Clinic Center for Inherited Blood Disorders (CIBD) Established in response to the growing need of care for patients with rare, chronic, inherited blood disorders. CIBD
