Our three-year fully ACGME-accredited Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship is a training program within the Department of Medicine, Division of Cardiology. The program imparts the competencies outlined by the Core Cardiovascular Training Statement recommendations for training in adult cardiovascular medicine. The fellowship is designed to provide exceptional training in all aspects of cardiology, with extensive clinical, academic and research experiences in state-of-the-art settings with a diverse patient population. The program is founded on the principle that training should be tailored to the needs of each fellow. We believe the best way to allow our fellows to become consummate professional academic and clinical cardiologists is through a combination of self-study, didactic instruction, research and supervised exposure to cardiac pathologies.

We believe there is more to training than clinical and scientific competence. Consequently, the Cardiovascular Disease Fellowship training program provides ample mechanisms for guidance and support in career development under the auspices of the faculty mentoring program. Each incoming fellow is teamed up with a cardiology faculty mentor and a senior fellow to ensure a smooth transition to advanced fellowship training.

We are confident that, in addition to preparing you to be a first-rate clinician-scientist, your training will stimulate your core values for compassion, ethics and integrity in total patient care.
