Akul Munjal, MD

Dr. Munjal is originally from Atlanta, Georgia. He attended Augusta University in Augusta, GA and received his bachelor’s degree in Cell Biology. He attended medical school at the Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia. During his time in medical school, he conducted research on racial disparities in hypertension. Prior to joining the UC Irvine Radiation Oncology Residency Program, he completed his preliminary year in General Surgery at Montefiore Medical Center in New York City. After work, he enjoys riding his bike, reading non-fiction, and attending sporting events.

Garrett Harada, MD

Dr. Harada is originally from Elk Grove, California. He attended The University of California, Berkeley, and received his bachelors degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology. Dr. Harada attended medical school at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA and then completed a year-long research fellowship at Rush University Medical Center followed by a surgery internship at UCLA. He has published in the areas of surgery and oncology with most recent works focusing on combined radiation and immunotherapies for non-small cell lung cancer. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, sports, and trying new restaurants.

Eric Ku, MD

Dr. Eric Ku is originally from Cupertino, California. He received his bachelor’s degree in Physiology and Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego (UCSD). Prior to medical school, he worked in the biotechnology industry and conducted radiology research at the University of California, San Francisco. He obtained his medical degree at Frank H. Netter School of Medicine at Quinninpiac University in Connecticut. He completed his internal medicine internship at Highland Hospital in Oakland prior to joining UCI. In his free time, he enjoys cooking, photography, and playing with his goldendoodle.

John Yeakel, MD

Dr. Yeakel grew up outside of Rochester, Minnesota in the small town of Mazeppa. He completed his undergraduate coursework at University of Wisconsin - La Crosse, earning a bachelor's degree in Biology with highest honors. Dr. Yeakel received his medical degree from the University of Minnesota Medical School. During medical school, he completed a 9-month longitudinal curriculum in rural healthcare focused on improving access to healthcare services in underserved areas. After medical school, he completed his intern year at the University of Wisconsin. In his spare time, he enjoys exercising, spending time outdoors, and cooking.
