Ophthalmic pathology is concerned with the diagnosis of cytological and tissue specimens from the eye and orbit. Our faculty members have expertise in the processing and interpretation of surgical, cytology and autopsy specimens, with special interest in ocular and orbital lesions, including lacrimal gland neoplasms and fine-needle aspiration of tumors in the eye and orbital socket.
Divisional educational opportunities include conferences at UCI Medical Center and Gavin Herbert Eye Institute and residency training.
Pathology Residency Program
Our fully-accredited Pathology Residency program provides comprehensive training in anatomic and clinical pathology.
