Our genitourinary (GU) pathology faculty members hold expertise in rapid and high-quality diagnostics for all aspects of urologic pathology, including benign and malignant diseases of the prostate, kidney, urinary tract, penis and testis with the use of ancillary testing, including immunohistochemistry, fluorescence in situ hybridization and molecular studies. Our faculty are involved in the diagnosis of specimens obtained at the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center as well as consultations for second opinions.
Research
Our research involves identification of biomarkers in prostate and penile neoplasia and collaborative work with UCI urologists, urologic oncologists and radiation oncologists, encompassing all aspects of urologic pathology.

Genitourinary Pathology Fellowship Program
The Genitourinary (GU) Pathology Fellowship provides extensive exposure and in-depth evaluation of non-neoplastic and neoplastic specimens from the kidney, urinary bladder, prostate and testis.
