Autopsies evaluating the whole body or select organs (such as brain or heart only) are performed by autopsy pathologists and consultant pathologists as needed. Clinical data derived from autopsies are also an important contributor to the educational and research missions of multiple clinical departments at UCI School of Medicine. In addition to autopsies performed on consented, deceased UCI Medical Center patients, we also conduct autopsies on selected patients from outside institutions. Pathology Residency Program Our fully-accredited Pathology Residency program provides comprehensive training in anatomic and clinical pathology.
