This fully funded, 12-month clinical program is approved by UC Irvine Graduate Medical Education (GME) and runs annually from July 1 to June 30. Application Timeline Applications for the upcoming academic year will be reviewed on a rolling basis, typically opening on June 1st and closing by August 1st, or earlier if all fellowship spots are filled. Curriculum Vitae (CV) Two Letters of Recommendation One letter must be from your current fellowship program director, plus one additional letter. Eligibility Criteria Have Completed a NICU Fellowship Be Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Please note: There is currently no board certification for neonatal cardiac intensive care. However, graduates of the program will receive a fellowship completion diploma and a certificate of competency in Targeted Neonatal Echocardiography, consistent with standards from the American Society of Echocardiography (ASE). International Students Due to the program’s location in Orange County, applicants working under a J-1 visa are not eligible at this time. Salary & Benefits Our fellowship program offers two fully funded clinical positions each year, sponsored by the Department of Pediatrics and Division of Neonatology at UC Irvine.
