The John. A. Kusske Lecture was established in 2017 to honor Dr. John Kusske, one of the former chairs of UCI School of Medicine Department of Neurological Surgery. Kusske's dedication and valuable contributions have been instrumental in transforming the Department of Neurological Surgery into a well-established program of major national and international recognition.
