Dr. Nahmias is also the vice chair of research for the Department of Surgery at UCI School of Medicine. Sigrid Burruss, MD Sigrid Burruss is an associate professor of surgery in the Divisions of Trauma, Burns, Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery and Emergency General Surgery. She is the director of the Hospital Based Violence Intervention Program and Community Outreach. James C. Jeng, MD James C. Jeng is a health sciences clinical professor of surgery. His clinical portfolio includes burns, wound care, trauma, critical care and emergency general surgery. Dr. Jeng’s academic focus centers on mass casualty preparedness, military-civilian partnerships, burn workforce issues and surgical advocacy with state and federal governments. Theresa Chin, MD Theresa Chin is an associate professor of surgery in the Divisions of Emergency General Surgery and Trauma, Burns, Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery. Matthew Dolich, MD Matthew Dolich is a professor of surgery and director of the Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery Fellowship programs at UCI School of Medicine. He is also the director of the Trauma Intensive Care Unit. Areg Grigorian, MD Areg Grigorian is an assistant professor of surgery, surgical educator and clinical outcomes researcher, often working with medical students and surgical residents. Victor Joe, MD Allen Kong, MD Allen Kong is a clinical professor of surgery in the Division of Trauma, Burns, Surgical Critical Care and Acute Care Surgery, as well as the medical director of Critical Care Services at UCI. Michael Lekawa, MD Sebastian D. Schubl, MD Sebastian D. Schubl is a clinical professor of surgery and medical director of operations at UCI Health, as well as chief of the Division of Emergency General Surgery.
