She is a surgical oncologist, professor of surgery and co-director of surgical research. She also serves as a member of the Cancer Center Leadership and Strategic Committee. Dr. Senthil specializes in peritoneal malignancies, metastatic cancers, gastric cancer and sarcoma. John Butler, MD John Butler is a surgical oncologist with years of experience in the management of breast cancers, endocrine diseases and sarcoma. Oliver Eng, MD Oliver Eng is an associate clinical professor of surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology. He serves as associate director of the Peritoneal Surface Malignancy program and director of the Surgical Oncology Fellowship, as well as vice-chair of the Protocol Review and Monitoring Committee for the Chao Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCI. James Jakowatz, MD James Jakowatz is a surgical oncologist and serves as the director of the Melanoma program. He has built one of the most successful, multidisciplinary skin cancer programs in Southern California. Kari Kansal, MD Kari Kansal is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon and an associate professor of surgery. She is the chief of breast surgery. Karen Lane, MD Karen Lane is a renowned breast surgeon and associate professor of surgery. She serves as the clinical director of the Breast Health Center. Erin Lin, MD Erin Lin is a breast surgeon and an assistant professor of surgery. Melissa Mao, MD Melissa Mao is an assistant professor of surgery and a fellowship-trained endocrine surgeon. She is the cancer liaison physician of the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer Committee at UCI. Thuy Tran, MD Thuy Tran is an assistant professor of surgery in the Division of Surgical Oncology. She is the assistant director of the UCI Melanoma Center and the director of Melanoma Surgery Research. Maki Yamamoto, MD Maki Yamamoto is a surgical oncologist and an associate professor of surgery. She is the co-director of the Melanoma program and serves as the associate program director of the General Surgical Residency program at UCI. Holly Yong, MD Holly Yong is a breast surgical oncologist and assistant clinical professor in the Division of Surgical Oncology.
