Our head and neck pathology faculty members’ mission is to:

  • Work closely with otolaryngologic surgeons, including intraoperative consultations during surgery, to assist in diagnosis and the evaluation of resection margins
  • Teach residents and fellows to achieve diagnostic competency
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards for optimal patient care and management
  • Facilitate translational and clinical research

Our faculty has expertise in the following areas:

  • Consultations on problematic and unusual cases
  • Immunohistochemistry and molecular testing
  • Rapid diagnosis of biopsy specimens

Educational opportunities for the Head & Neck Pathology subspecialty include conferences, residency training and a surgical pathology fellowship.

Surgical Pathology Fellowship Program

The Selective Surgical Pathology Fellowship is designed to offer advanced, focused and intensive diagnostic training in all areas of surgical pathology.
