LCME Self-Study Closing Dinner

The Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME) Self-Study Task Force (SSTF), which kicked off on February 9, 2023, concluded with the formal review of the twelve LCME accreditation standards at the SSTF closing dinner on August 3, 2023. This dinner was hosted by Dean Stamos and the Office of Medical Education and centered around a series of presentations by the SSTF and the Independent Student Analysis (ISA) Task Force to share their findings with the SSTF Executive Committee.

The broad representation of members serving on the three SSTF subcommittees and the ISA Task Force offered a comprehensive report of institutional strengths, areas for improvement and recommendations. The Office of Education Compliance and Quality will continue to work with the SSTF and ISATF to process and respond to these findings and coordinate the efforts for the final self-study summary report.

The LCME survey visit will be held from January 26-29, 2025 and the school will remain actively engaged in continuous quality improvement activities as we prepare for the visit throughout the coming year.
