UCI School of Medicine & UCI Medical Center UCI serves as the sponsor for fellowships in pediatric critical care medicine, neonatal/perinatal medicine, pediatric pulmonology, pediatric endocrinology, pediatric infectious disease, pediatric urology, and child and adolescent psychiatry. Children’s Health of Orange County (CHOC) The training and education of medical students, residents and fellows has been a longstanding focus of CHOC. More than 500 residents, fellows and medical students undergo pediatric training at CHOC every year. Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles (CHLA) A rotation in the cardiothoracic intensive care unit at CHLA will allow third-year fellows to gain exposure to solid organ transplant and work directly with cardiovascular surgical patients.
