Jack Sun, MD

Jack Sun, MD, is the chief of cardiac surgery and clinical associate professor of surgery. He is the director of minimally invasive cardiac surgery and surgical director of the Structural Heart program.

Kelly Fairbairn, MD

Kelly Fairbairn, MD, is an assistant professor of thoracic surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. She completed her residency training in general surgery through the Community Memorial Health System in Ventura, CA and her cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson, AZ.  She fulfilled an additional fellowship in advanced thoracic surgical oncology with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. Fairbairn’s research interests include lung cancer screening and clinical trials to improve outcomes for early-stage cancer.

Hari B. Keshava, MD

Hari B. Keshava, MD, is an assistant clinical professor of surgery in the Division of Thoracic Surgery. His focus is on disorders of the chest, including lung, metastatic lung and esophageal cancers, malignancies of the thymus and mediastinum, mesothelioma, gastroesophageal reflux disease, tracheal diseases and chest wall deformities. Keshava specializes in all techniques, including minimally invasive, robotic and open surgery.

Ali Mahtabifard, MD

Ali Mahtabifard, MD, is a clinical professor of surgery in the Division of Thoracic Surgery. He is the founding and inaugural division chief of general thoracic surgery at UCI Health.

Ravi Morchi, MD

Ravi Morchi, MD, is an assistant professor of cardiac surgery. He studied general surgery at UCI, followed by training at UCLA and the University of Colorado for both adult and congenital cardiac surgery. Prior to this, Morchi was an associate professor of medicine and a faculty member of the Harbor-UCLA Department of Emergency Medicine.

Fabio Sagebin, MD, is an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
