Jack Sun, MD

Jack Sun leads the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He is the chief of cardiac surgery, the director of minimally invasive cardiac surgery, the surgical director of the Structural Heart program and a clinical associate professor of surgery.

Hari B. Keshava, MD

Hari B. Keshava is an assistant clinical professor of surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. His focus is on disorders of the chest, including lung, metastatic lung and esophageal cancers, malignancies of the thymus and mediastinum, mesothelioma, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), tracheal diseases and chest wall deformities. Dr. Keshava specializes in all techniques, including minimally invasive, robotic and open surgery.

Kelly Fairbairn, MD

Kelly Fairbairn is an assistant professor of thoracic surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. She completed her residency training in general surgery through the Community Memorial Health System in Ventura, Calif. and her cardiothoracic surgery fellowship at the University of Arizona in Tucson, Ariz. She completed an additional fellowship in advanced thoracic surgical oncology with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, NY. Dr. Fairbairn’s research interests include lung cancer screening and clinical trials to improve outcomes for early stage lung cancer.

Ali Mahtabifard, MD

Ali Mahtabifard is a clinical professor of surgery in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. He is the founding and inaugural division chief of general thoracic surgery at UCI Health.

Ravi Morchi, MD

Ravi Morchi is an assistant professor in cardiac surgery. He studied general surgery at UCI, followed by training at UCLA and the University of Colorado for both adult and congenital cardiac surgery. Prior to this, Dr. Morchi was an associate professor in medicine and a faculty member at the Harbor-UCLA Department of Emergency Medicine.

Fabio Sagebin

Fabio Sagebin is an assistant professor in the Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery.
