The Department of Radiological Sciences offers a one-year cardiovascular and thoracic imaging fellowship, providing comprehensive training in cardiothoracic imaging using radiography, CT, CTA, MRI and MRA. The fellow can learn advanced cardiovascular imaging, coronary CTA, pulmonary vein mapping, TAVR and Watchman device planning CTA, and “triple rule out.” All aspects of thoracic imaging, including oncologic imaging and HRCT, are also covered. The fellow will also have the opportunity to perform interventional procedures, including lung or mediastinal biopsy, chest tube placement or tumor ablation under the supervision of the interventional radiology division.

The department is equipped with state-of-the-art clinical CT and MRI scanners. CT (256-slice, dual energy) and MRI (1.5 and 3T) scanners are available for clinical work. Qualified candidates must be either ABR board-eligible or board-certified and able to obtain a full and unrestricted California medical license.
