The Breast Imaging Fellowship is a one-year comprehensive training program in all modalities of breast imaging, including screening and diagnostic interpretation, 2D and tomosynthesis mammography, sonography and MRI. Training also includes all breast interventional procedures, such as stereotactic, ultrasound and MRI-guided biopsies, and preoperative localizations.

A diverse patient population and various practice environments at UC Irvine enrich the learning experience, providing opportunities for fellows to become well-rounded and proficient breast imagers. Fellows work directly under the supervision of faculty attendings. Additional learning and teaching opportunities are available through participation in multidisciplinary tumor boards, didactic lectures and case conferences. Fellows will also get dedicated time to attend conferences, if desired. Moonlighting opportunities are also available to interested fellows.

The Breast Imaging Fellowship Program participates in the National Resident Matching Program (NRMP).
