Life Resources Program This program is a free, confidential benefit that can help address personal or work-related issues faced by UC Irvine faculty and staff, retirees and dependents. This service, staffed by experienced clinicians, is available 24 hours a day, seven days per week. A master's- or doctoral-level Guidance Resources Professional will help with problem identification, assessment and referral to treatment providers and community resources. Guidance Resources can assist with concerns, such as marital conflict, interpersonal difficulties, conflict at work, stress management, alcohol or drug abuse and personal decision-making. FSSS helps individuals, teams and departments navigate challenges ranging from workplace stress and burnout to critical incidents and organizational change. Services include individual resource-referral meetings, critical incident response support, departmental consultations and customized trainings on topics such as trauma-informed care, resilience and mental health awareness. Private, short-term resource referral meetings are available to residents/fellows seeking support for their own well-being, including stress, burnout or workplace challenges.
