The Mary & Steve Wen Cardiovascular Division at UCI School of Medicine boasts a talented and growing faculty committed to excellence in research, education and patient care. We foster a strong sense of community among our faculty and trainees, which carries through to our compassionate care of cardiac patients in Orange County.
Our Research
Our division offers a vast research program encompassing basic science, clinical trials and real-world applications. Our faculty, along with trainees, delve into areas like interventional cardiology, heart failure and preventive medicine, aiming to improve patient care through research and innovation.
Clinical Expertise
We are proud of the growth of our structural heart, interventional cardiology, advanced heart failure programs, and our outstanding extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) and left ventricular assist device (LVAD) programs. We have a state-of-the-art comprehensive cardiovascular ICU and an internationally accredited echocardiography lab. We also have unique women’s heart health, cardiac amyloid, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), sports cardiology and integrative cardiology programs.
