Department Structure The Department of Radiation Oncology is organized into three collaborative divisions, each focused on advancing the department's core missions. Clinical Radiation Oncology: At the forefront of patient care, this division is a hub for translating cutting-edge research into practice and training the next generation of physicians. Medical Physics: This group oversees our advanced treatment systems' maintenance, calibration and quality assurance. Radiobiology: Our basic science laboratories are engaged in research to discover and translate new therapies. The department is also home to Orange County's only educational residency training program in radiation oncology.
