We only accept applications submitted through the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS). To our 2025-2026 applicants: Thank you for your interest in our training program. Applications for the 2025-2026 interview season are currently being reviewed. Invitations for interviews will be sent starting September 25, 2025. Interviews will begin on October 8, 2025. Applicant Submission Requirements Completed ERAS application Medical School Transcript Dean’s Letter (MSPE) USMLE Transcript (Part I) Curriculum Vitae Personal Statement Three letters of recommendation Applications are reviewed between September and October. Selected candidates will receive an invitation for an interview. Once all interviews are completed, candidates will be ranked, and a rank list will be submitted to the NRMP. Interviews Interviews are typically held in October, November and December. Candidates will have ample opportunity to speak with residents and faculty who can share more information about the residency program, UC Irvine School of Medicine, UCI Health and life in Orange County. Innovative Anesthesiology-Critical Care Education Program Applicants Interested candidates for the Innovative Anesthesiology-Critical Care Education Program must apply through ERAS. There will be two PGY-1 positions available through ERAS. The recruitment committee, along with critical care faculty members from the department, will review all applications. Have Questions?
