Students must meet the following eligibility requirements to apply to the Physician Innovator Training Program. Current School of Medicine Enrollment Be currently enrolled in the UC Irvine medical school program Rising MS2 Status Be a rising MS2 student who has completed the Foundations of Innovation and Engineering elective. Rising MS3 students who previously completed the elective during the 2026 year may be considered for exceptional approval.
