Compassionate, Comprehensive Care We provide compassionate and comprehensive care for infants, children and adolescents undergoing a wide range of surgical procedures. We also provide anesthesia care for adults with congenital syndromes and pediatric patients with non-pediatric surgical procedures, who may have adult surgical illnesses. Diverse Training Opportunities The UCI Medical Center is the region’s only Level II pediatric trauma center, providing specialty care for pediatric and neonatal emergencies, burns and traumas. In addition to the medical center, our faculty, residents and trainees conduct their clinical duties at the UC Irvine Beckman Laser Institute & Medical Clinic, the Rady's Children's Health, formally Children's Hospital of Orange County, and within the UC Irvine Department of Ophthalmology & Visual Sciences. The varied patient population that our faculty and trainees engage with enhances their clinical knowledge and skills, shaping the future of pediatric and adolescent anesthesia care. Rady Children’s Health Children’s Hospital of Orange County (CHOC) The UC Irvine School of Medicine has a collaborative clinical affiliation with Rady Children’s Health to ensure that the children of Orange County have access to the highest quality, leading-edge care. UC Irvine physicians provide inpatient and outpatient pediatric care and specialty services at several Rady Children’s Health CHOC locations around the region.
