We strive to achieve national recognition for our contributions to basic science, translational research and clinical studies. Research plays a pivotal role in advancing the field of anesthesiology, particularly in improving the delivery of anesthesia and ensuring patient safety. We receive support for our research projects from various sources, including internal funding, government grants and industry sponsors. We actively support and encourage research at all levels while focusing on faculty career development in academic anesthesiology. Our investigators collaborate with institutions and departments nationally and globally to contribute new ideas and discoveries. Residents and fellows actively participate in innovative research, presenting at major conferences. Additionally, medical students have an opportunity to experience research and receive mentorship from our faculty investigators.
