The Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology/Procedural Dermatology Fellowship at UCI is a one-year ACGME-approved program that offers extensive training in Mohs surgery, advanced dermatologic surgery, laser surgery and cosmetic dermatology. Our program is very fast-paced with a high patient load. Trainees are exposed to complex tumor biology, advanced reconstructive procedures and a broad range of laser and cosmetic procedures.

We currently offer one position in our fellowship program. Before beginning the dermatology fellowship program, individuals must have successfully completed a four-year ACGME-approved residency program.

We only accept applications through the SF Match Central Application Service (CAS). Please go to the SF Match site to apply.

SF Match will ask you to submit a personal statement and two letters of recommendation. Please make sure the two letters of recommendation include:

  • One letter of recommendation from the residency director/chair
  • One letter from the director of dermatologic surgery

Supplemental Materials

In addition to submitting the above materials via SF Match, please send the following to Terena J. Wells at terenaw@hs.uci.edu:

  • Answer two questions (300 words or fewer): Why do you think this program is a good fit for you? What do you want your practice to look like in the future?
  • A recent photo

Matched applicants will begin August 1, 2027.
