The UCI School of Medicine offers graduate study in basic science and clinical departments. Our PhD and MS programs train students in biomedical research and critical inquiry with the goal of a career in research, biomedical technology or academic education.

PhD Programs

The UCI School of Medicine offers graduate study leading to a PhD degree in Biomedical Sciences. Five participating basic science departments train students in biomedical research and critical inquiry with the goal of a research-based career in academia, biomedical technology and related fields.

PhD & MD/PhD Programs
The Master of Science degree in Biomedical and Translational Science (MS-BATS) is a clinical research training program offered by the UCI School of Medicine. Students engage in a flexible, interdisciplinary clinical research program geared for both experienced researchers seeking additional clinical skill development and for students in any academic discipline interested in conducting clinical research.
