Home Education Admissions How to Apply To apply to the PRIME LEAD-ABC program, you must first apply to the UCI School of Medicine MD program through the AMCAS application system. If invited for a secondary application, you will have the option to express your interest in PRIME LEAD-ABC and complete the program supplementary questions. Qualifications Students with demonstrated service, leadership, and commitment to addressing the health and social needs of African, Black, and Caribbean communities will be most competitive for admission into this program. Scholarships Approximately 12 applicants per entering class may receive full or partial scholarships to cover tuition and fees each year for four years. There is no separate application process for scholarships. All applicants are eligible. Scholarship amounts are determined on a rolling basis with consideration of students’ academic excellence and financial need. Scholarship funding is also available for all PRIME-LEAD-ABC scholars with interest in completing an optional fifth year in graduate study for a Master's Degree in Public Health (MPH) or Master's Degree in Science - Biomedical and Translational Science (MS-BATS). “The UCI Black community is small but mighty.
